h264 encoding using intel QSV acceleration:
ffmpeg -i in.mp4 -c:v h264_qsv -global_quality 20 -look_ahead 1 out.mp4
look_ahead should be 1. global_quality can be from 1 to 51. Lower value represents better quality. ~25 should be equivalent to x264 CRF 23.
Just use the ffmpeg codecs ending with _qsv
"libx264" to "h264_qsv"
ffmpeg -i input.avi -c:v libx264 -preset slower -crf 20 -c:a libfaac output.mp4
"visually lossless" but not technically lossless, use a -crf value of around 17 or 18
